I had a friend in the nineties who was really taken with my saying... "cool bananas"
I didn't see her for some months but when I did she'd had a t-shirt printed reading... "cool banana's". I never had the heart - or rudeness- to point out the apostrophic (?) error...
nah...it used to be a TV show called something like AdventureIsland. And I'm talking 1960's-70's...
Cool bananas reminds me of when I tried refrigerating plantains and the half closer to the back of the fridge turned brown. The comforts of modern society betrayed me and three plantains died a senseless death because of it.
I started with four, though, and had already fried the first one up and eaten it so the story's not all bad.
When I saw the flag I briefly hoped you'd know the TV show. Oh well... Is there a bird also called a 'plantain' ? (or is that what you're talking about?)
