If it's any metaphysical type of consolation, 'carolina'.. There are Lots-and-lots, of unattached 'singles'.. {bachelors and 'bachlorettes'}, these days - And, for that mattter.. There have been, since the '1970s' .. Though, probably, quite a few, More Now!
.. Anyway.. with the world the way it is.. I personally, can appreciate, that 'procreating'.. {though not neccessarily, getting 'hitched' without having 'kids'}.. Is probably Not, among 'Mother Nature's, high priorities, these days.
