I've only heard American woman by Guess who? and i think the guitar on it is very ahead of its time, it reminds me of queens of the stone age abit. They have a guitar sound where the riffs go off on tangents during the main tune structure. American woman is an excellent track!

"American woman is an excellent track!"

American women generally are.

I totally agree. I read somewhere that American women go to bars on their own to pick up men, thats perfect! In Britain they go out in gangs so they can sit and pick over you like vultures at a steak buffet.

Keith Moon was my favorite drummer for the first few years after I bought a drum set.  He was high energy and had some crazy fills.  Once I started playing as a studio drummer, I had to appreciate the precision of drummers like Ginger Baker and John Bonham.  Keith was fun to watch and listen to, but would often fall off tempo leaving Entwhistle to pull him back on time.  While I prefer Moon to Bonham, I think he's the least talented of the three.

I think Nick Mason is the best drummer I have ever seen. Have any of you seen Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii! Utterly brilliant.

Beatles faves: Paul, Abbey Road, Abbey Road Medley(Am I allowed to put that?).

Akira Jimbo is my personal favorite drummer.  I tried to find something on YouTube that is representative of his talent and style, but this was all I could find.   I have a video of his called Evolution that puts this video to shame.

you know, Paul, Ringo, Dhani (George's son), and eric clapton could reform the beatles. just my opinion, of course.

Speaking of Beach Boys, America's answer to the Beatles....

Would they be America's definitive band, or would some other group such a Credence Clearwater Revival or the Eagles better fit that bill?

I think I'd have to be high to enjoy that Pompeii video to it's fullest.  I don't think that's in the cards, though.  It reminds me a bit of a two-piece noise rock band from Sacramento, California called Hella.  Those guys are incredibly talented and, as far as most people are concerned, wholly unlistenable.

Batgirl, please help. I watched Die Hard 4 recently, and Brucey was blasting out this brilliant CCR song. I have never really got into them,  (excuse my ignorance) I just thought they were the band who made 'Bad Moon Rising'. Anyway, I want to know what it was called so I can go and track it down. "It aint me..It aint me..." Thanks!
