Blastoise is the best statistically. Venusaur has lame speed, attack, and has so many weaknesses I can't count that high.

Well, Samurott can learn those but they aren't super affective against blatoise. If Samurott can learn a grass or electric move I will be impressed lol
Swampert has a time 4 super affective move agianst him. You hit swampert with a grass type move it it is over for him.
Blastoise has some ok defence and special defence. Now hydro cannon and giga impact may not be the best moves in there due to making them recharge, but a moveset of blizzard, hydro pump, skull bash, and then maybe a tm of like earthqukae or something? thats powerfull.
underused doesn't mean weak. How can that be a bad moveset for him> What would you have for him?
I agree blastoise is a very powerful pokemon. But my favourite pokemon will always be Charizard.
To me Charizard is the best of the starters.

lol that was in a pokemon episode. They use wierd logic. In a game it is like one water move and it is over for Charizard :).
Very true....What would a good moveset me for swampert? I am trying to bread mine to start with a lvl 1......Any suggestions?
Depend on what game you are playing.
I have it in Black and white.
Then I am not sure.
Swampert can also learn ice beam and it is immune to electric attacks

Most people think that the new starter pokemon from Black and White and Diamond and Pearl. As we look at the strong starters like Empolion and Emboar, we think they are totaly beast. But, if we look back to some of the original pokemon we find that the best starter pokemon is actulay Blastoise. He is only a water type, but that is what makes him strong. As a water type, he only has two weaknesses of lightning and grass. He can learn ice type moves (such as blizzard) so he can easily wipe out any grass type pokemon out there as most grass have very low speed. Lightning moves are still super affective, but any water or normal move does regular damage to the lightning type pokemon. So looking at that, Blastoise has only one weakness and still has really strong moves like hydro cannon, hydro pump, skull bash, blizzard, and giga impact.
