OTF is for off-topic discussion, and all other threads are related to chess for the most part.
It’s fun for many reasons. You can create threads for things you’re interested in, and find people who share common interest. You can be among the community by participating in threads, playing forum games, and much more. You can easily meet new members via the ‘otf dead at night thread’, and talk about literally anything. We’re a super close community, who is there for each other no matter what. There is little drama, and it’s a fun group of people to be around.
Otf, the clubs I'm in aren't even related to chess...

It’s ok. It’s not the highest quality thread, but it’s fun to talk to people there without being confined to a topic. OTF is a fun place, and I would recommend that people from clubs give it a shot before comparing the two.
