Bill Belichick

Probably will go down as one of the smartest caoches ever, but will also go down as the biggest sore loser as well.  I mean leaving the field AFTER the ref told you to come back because there was 1 second left.  Apparently Brady didn't shake Eli's hand either......brutal.

ChuckG

We didn't like him in Cleveland when he was coaching here, either.

I am so confused.

Classless.  By the way, I am a colts fan, but I really think that cleveland will be a great team 2-3 years from now.

i didn't see an army of refs talking to the other 200+ poor sports.  and i can't imagine that anybody would have heard the dude if he had been shouting it anyway.

i found it truly disgusting that the Giants coach had the nerve to go out there and shake the patriots coach hand when the game was not over yet.  it's one thing to be winning, but to be rubbing it in the patriots face when the game was not complete.  The giants poor sportsmanship ruins what would have been a good win.

wow nice spin you put on that.  Obviously both coaches thought the game was over and thus the handshake, however, when they were both told that there was one second left belichick said they are just going to kneeldown so I will let my assistant coach handle it (he repeated this after in his press conference) CLASSLESS

saints, colts, giants are my 3 fav teams in that order as saints as my favorite

Hondoham, when the Giants coach went to shake Bellichick's hand he and everyone else in the stadium thought that the refs would let the clock run out. Unless the cameramen, reporters etc. who ran on the field were all Giants fans and wanted to rub it in as well.

Going in to the game, I was hoping to see a perfect year by the Pats but it was clear they didn't think it was worth any extra effort. They played like any other game, while the Giants showed the desparation that a team needs to be champions.

i hope it is sarcasm too!

sarcasm...responsible sports reporting...talking crap...

okay the first time was a little extreme.

-----------------

The maverick coach bill belichick goes down the way he came up, with honor.  he's the kind of man who know's when he has won and when he has lost.  he storms across the field to congratulate the team that has defeated him, his  players, organization, and community despite the arbitrators' banal complaints that there are exact procedures that must be followed.  Bill understands that the game is bigger than the people that manage the sport.  He is an idealist who understands the game more than any of us and will not compromise the spirit of the game.  He will use all means available to him to provide the most competitive front in this game and expects the same. he makes no apologies for this and tolerates no less than the best effort from everyone.

it is understandable that he didn't respect the decision that the referees chose:

to both delay the giants victory and further humiliate the patriots, in the name of bureaucracy.

put that in your pipe & smoke it

This was one of the better Superbowls in recent years, the way i see it everyone thought the Giants should just roll over and hand the title to the Patriots, well sorry but the Giants came to win and they were the BETTER team Sunday. Quit griping and let them enjoy the win, lord knows they earned it fair and square.

I live in Indianapolis, am a Cleveland fan, and I really think that Cleveland was a good team this year, and will be unstoppable 2-3 years from now.

Also, Belichick is a world class D-Bag, and was when he was in Cleveland, too.

BB will go down as the best coach to ever participate in the NFL.... and the clock at some point showed 0:00....now if hte NFL decides to all of a sudden add another second to it, AFTER the handshake...well hell, they messed up, not Belichick's fault that they were stupid enough to leave a second there...and last time classless won something in sports, was never

benws--- i thought they were both on the field... but the whole thing was pretty confusing with so many out there and so much going on. i could write a post about how disgusted i am with the giants coach for NOT meeting him out there in the field when Belichick had obviously lost if that's the case.Surprised

my point was that it's all BS and hype.  i'm not annoyed at the original post, just venting from all the crappy sports reporting (stick to the plays, not off-field soap opera journalism). it's got this "holier than thou" air to it.

the only team i really pull for won the superbowl in week 16. My ESPN fantasy team. these playoff games is just off-season ball haha

Belichick is classless?  Posting this after an entire season of NE players not runnung their mouths despite every opportunity and it's brother?  Terrel Owens talked more trash than Moss and he broke Rice's TD record.  Brady constantly praised his O-line and recievers avoiding blowing his own horn.  Sure BB is questionable at times, but NE gave respect to the Colts and everyone else they played, even after they beat them.  I'm a 49ers fan, but calling BB classless is wrong.  Oh and quit crying about spygate, NE didn't film any one of the numerous title contenders they dispacted this year(only the lowly Jets, and only for about what 6 minutes?).

Oh, and I already San Fran needs a little work, so easy on the bottom feeder.

The Bengals can definately learn a thing or two from Cleveland on how to build a competitive team. The Cincy - Cleveland game earlier in the season was awesome and definately made me a believer of Cleveland becoming good.

I still don't like you guys though....

go Bills!!!

I too agree that the Pats were very well behaved and some could argue that they could have gotten away with being more brash, and Belichick keeps them at check....however, I never argued this point.  I said that BELICHICK is classless.  The way he carries himself is in such a pompous egotistical way it could make you nautious.  What other coach would allow his starters to play in every minute of week 16 and 17 to chase a fairly meaningless record, and jeapordize their post season....the answer EGOMANIAC.

I don't care about them "running up the score" because if the defense they were playing against didn't want them to run up the score they should have stopped them.
