THE CONJURING 2, (HORROR)
Having just "witnessed" (,and I use the word deliberately) this portrayal of events that happened in 1977 in Enfield Town ,North London,I,m in a state of shock at how realistic and frightening this movie is .If you like millions of others thought the Exorcist movie was dramatic,this one will knock you dead!This haunting is the most documented paranormal story ever recorded,From a purely cinematic standpoint ,the director had me jumping out of my skin and sent shivers coursing through my body at every turn.Its one "hell"of a movie and again I use the word delibertately, Sceptics will be smugly smiling at my reaction to this tale ,but if they watch this movie they will not be so blase and I dare say as freaked as I am right now , [10~10]

CAPT AMERICA, MARVEL COMICS,
Capt America is dressed like a 40's NFL player ,while the rest of the cast look very chic and dapper,he looks like a poor relation whos been unable to evolve as a normal persons rate,Plus the fact that the actor portraying C.A. can't act.The computer enhanced fight scenes are ludicrous and the ending is obvious from the get go,
The script follws suit,add to this an oversized cast ,all jockeying for position and we have a keystone cops comedic flick that is trying desperately to be taken seriously, [5~10]

This is a delightfully funny yet sad movie,Its the story of two aging patrons of the arts .Florence played by Meryl Streep is an eccentric chanteuse and her devoted yet wayward husband and man of the world Hugh Grant tries to insulate his spouse from the harsh reality of NYC's 1940 society ,He manages manfully ,by limiting his wifes singing forays to only a select few.On a whim ,Florence cuts a record and has it hand delivered to a local radio station ,The proverbial cat is well out of the bag ! THE SHALLOWS ,THRILLER.
There have been many movies that have tried to recreate (the now very dated) JAWS plain terror,some have had more success than others ,This unknown compact cast deliver a thrilling ,dare I say it? better show than the Speilburg original.The shark itself is a totally believable villian and you find youself giving his "personality"a lot of thought. ,The story centers around a 20 something ,sexy surfer girl who has issues surrounding her mothers premature death ,She searches Mexico for a beach her mother once visited,with only a photograph to guide her.By stealth she finds an idealic lagoon ,a surfers paradice.The location,only known to locals who guard its secrets jealously ,so much so they won't reveal its name..........

FOR THE LOVE OF SPOCK (documentary)
This documentary is directed by Leonard Nimoys son ,its aimed at Star Trek fans or "Trekkies"as they're known,Its almost 2 hours long and you become very aware of its longeivity"It documents" Leonard the Vulcan" and " Leonard the Actor" ,it has lots of clips from the show .The Vulcan bits are absorbing ,the actors bits not so much.I managed to watch 1 hour + but it gets to be too much of a sons perspective on his continually absent workaholic and alcoholic dad,and its focus becomes blurred and frankly boring.

Another classic (albeit dated film) is Brighton Rock (1947)It was adapted from the Novel Brighton Rock by the well-known Author Graham Greene.It starred the iconic actor Richard Attenborough("Dickie"-sadly no longer with us).He played a violent gang leader "Pinkie Brown".The plot is truly gripping throughout with serious gang isssues,betrayals and unadulterated violence.Attenborough gives a sterling performance throughout.May be on Youtube.In a sense,they don't make em like that any more!
