Yes, that's right; thanks MD. Nothing I can do about it anyway, and maybe it was just a bit of ribbing but there's been a few obnoxious characters on here who see a disagreement as a personal vendetta. If someone was going to be malicious and use my name then it could have caused me, and others, problems.

Hacking into someone's computer without access to the CC's servers is virtually impossible. They would have to hack CC first.

Not being a techy I wasn't to know. Like I say, if it wasn't for the few malicious characters on the site I wouldn't have been too concerned. As it was I thought that offensive messages may have been posted in my name; a reasonable concern I think.

Oh well, it's in the past now!
Still good to know that you secretly admire kaynight's wit, love kayak21 and you're in awe with Frenchbasher's intellect.
hehheh

A very few may have the ability to hack into someones computer when they are playing a game vs each other, I was told awhile back, and read of it happening at other sites. Firewalls at Chess.com I'm sure are top of the line, and the issue may not exist now. Hackers with this ability I seriously doubt would waste their time with a chess site today.

All the more reason to protect your PC. Due to my personally made firewall I have to give explicit permission to all incoming and outgoing traffic. Everything else is blocked by default. No back-doors or side doors. Just the main entrance :-)

- I would like to sincerely apologise to a lot of members here.
- My real name is Peter like HassainWarrior has been saying for many years.
- I am actually a proud American citizen living in California.
- I do not intend anyone any serious harm & I would like to first of all say sorry to the female members of Chess.com.
- There are way too many to mention. Trysts, BabyTiger, Wolfbird, Whip-Kitten especially I would like to say sorry to for any offensive behaviour.
- Others females too I apologise to and hope that you can all forgive me for any derogatory remarks I may have made in the past. I will try to be more courteous in the future.
- I would also like to say something similar to some of the men on the site. Hassain Warrior, Ghostliner, Firstplay, Nikprit, Kco & Mdinnerspace most especially.
- Again I am sorry and I hope we can all be friends in the future.
- I will keep this short but yet sincere.
- In fact to ALL members of this great and wonderful community I apologise profusely for any and all offences that I may have committed against you verbally.
- Most of what I say is meant in jest. In the future I promise to be a better friend to everyone & be much more considerate and polite. I do hope that you can all forgive me for any and all of my silly remarks.
- Sincerely,
- Peter

Hi Peter, I assume and appreciate your sincere sincerity and therefore accept your apology. What's life without rockin' a badass cape once in a while.

why because he is blocked? I thought he was blocked on anger thread too. But the same message there.

Because that never happens, ever. And if Frenchy is Peter then he'll just continue what he has been doing for years--create another account as another character

For years?
By themself? I just reported it anyway. Reminds me of the type of spineless person who writes stuff on toilet walls about people So brave they have to hide or sneak around playing dirty. Says volumes about their character.
It seems to me he/she was joking. I only saw 2 posts. Since that username can't be used again he/she in fact protected you from someone else doing the same thing in a nasty malicious way!
Don't you think you take yourself waaaay too serious? I always thought English people were masters at self-mockery.
