“Can White checkmate while Black has TWO queens? Meet the Barsch Trap.”

Hey everyone,

I want to introduce a line I've been studying that I don't think gets nearly enough attention — the Barsch Trap, arising from the King's Gambit Accepted: Quaade Gambit.

The full move sequence is:
1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3 g5 4. Nc3 g4 5. Ne5 Qh4+ 6. g3 fxg3 7. Qxg4 g2+ 8. Qxh4 gxh1=Q 9. Qh5 Be7 10. Nxf7 Nf6 11. Nd6+ Kd8 12. Qe8+!! Rxe8 13. Nf7#

What makes this trap so special is the sheer audacity of it. By move 8, Black has queened a pawn and taken White's queen — and still loses by move 13. White sacrifices the queen TWICE and delivers a back-rank smothered mate with a knight while Black is sitting on a massive material advantage.

I'm calling this the Barsch Trap and I think it deserves its official name:

King's Gambit Accepted: Quaade Gambit, Barsch Trap

If you play the King's Gambit and want a line that will genuinely shock your opponents, this is it. Would love to hear if anyone has fallen into this or sprung it over the board!
