I'm pleased to share that The Music of Erich Zann won the Audience Award (Dramatic category) this past weekend when it was screened at the Desiderata Film Festival of New York!
The film has also recieved honorable mention and is an official selection of the SoCal Film Festival to be held this fall in Huntington Beach, CA.
Thanks to everyone who has watched the film and contacted me, I really appreciate your support!
If you've played games against me in the last few months, you will have noticed my frequent weekend vacations. I have been involved in a film shoot in Bridgeport, CT; at the abandoned Savoy Hotel. It is an adaptation of a macabre short story: "The Music of Erich Zann", by H.P. Lovecraft.
We had very (very) little money to work with, but a talented and dedicated crew. The film is now completed, and it has already recieved some good reviews and attention. I would love you all to watch and tell me what you think!
The film can be viewed at: http://vimeo.com/6806455.
My part in the film is Howard Philipps, a young student of metaphysics who pursues a friendship with the strange old man that lives in the apartment above. It runs about 35 mins, and there is indeed a very hidden chess reference. I will be shocked if anybody catches it.
