Im the opposite. I do ketogencis. Heavy on the healthy fats, and meat please.
It works for me. Just like veganism works for some.

Blood tastes better than mud
Sometimes you need to justify taking a soul, to avoid eating a vegetable.
Simple. I don't really care for livestock. Obviously be humane about it. And I don't like how alot of slaughter houses have over crowded livestock and drug them. But I'm a Sentient human. Their not. Not only do I believe God gave animals for our enjoyment.(Not making this a debate over religion don't worry). Plus we are omnivorous. I'm not about to change how humans are naturally are just because someone feelings are hurt. Get over it. We did way worse things in history. How is eating a pig bad? Like complaining about how a hunter killed a deer. It's not sentient. It can't love. It can't reason. It's livestock. It's healthy to eat meat aswell because we naturally eat all food. Fruit. Veggies. And meat, don't need a divine deity to prove that. It's just how we naturally are.
We were built to eat meat - and I do. Our teeth and physiology are proof of this.
But, let's get a little practical here; what would people have eaten in the far north during winter when the only food was seal, polar bear, walrus, arctic hare and fox, and fish? Not too many veggies growing north of the Arctic Circle . . .

If you research the history of the US to see when obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. really took off. Look no further that the government food pyramid.
Yes, one size does NOT fit all. High fat diet (and exercise to get the meat) were the "norm" until "better food" became available!

Sugar is a death sentence,
Perhaps I should have been more specific, although I appreciate all the replies I'll rephrase a bit. Can you justify why you're not vegan when in the modern-day it's been proven that a plant-based diet is sufficient? Animals are bred, mistreated and killed for nothing than more how they taste.
I guess I was not clear enough. I like meat, real meat. To be brutally honest, just get over it. I won't force you to eat meat. I won't push my believes on you. Grant me the same respect. Let me live my life as I wish, not as someone else's ideal. If I want to hear a sermon, I'll go to church.

Many things are "proven" that aren't healthy. The US Govt. food pyramid for one. Check when obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other ailments sky rocketed. Right about the time the US told us to use the pyramid for "healthy" eating. I am not saying that plant based isnt healthy. I enjoy salads a lot.
As i have stated before. I do the keto woe. And we have all been indoctrinated on how unhealthy it is to eat red meat, butter, leaving the skin on chicken, just to name a few. When in truth those are all very healthy.
Even though It's "Proven" It's sufficient we live in a world"Me at least" where food isn't an issue. I should eat what I want. Most of a persons life is taken up by job or school. It don't matter how much you love your job or school. You need them. And Food is mandatory. At least let that be pleasurable. I don't eat much meats because I prefer Bread macorni and corn and such for my food. But you don't need justification for your food. It don't matter how proven a Diet is. If it's healthy enough. And I love it. It's fine. It's not the medieval ages where we can only dine on Bread and mead if we are peasants or Burghers. It's 2019. And it's equally as proven we are omnivorous. So eating meats and veggies are normal. If I wanted to be healthy I would fence "The sport. Like Olympic Fencing And HEMA fencing" which I do. There I's so many meat based foods and dinners why would I settle with ONLY veggies? I'm not about to waste what i'm given. If I'm blessed to have good meat I'm going to eat it. There is much worse thing's to worry about than my diet which is perfectly normal.
I thought it would be interesting to ask this in a place like chess.com. Yesterday I went to a lecture by an activist called Earthling Ed; who perhaps you haven't heard of and had the chance to have an hour-long conversation with him after it finished. It inspired me to ask the same questions here.
So, are you vegan, and if not, how can you justify it?
