When cats fall, they always fall on their feet. Dogs cant. +20 for cats.

1. If the owner is decent, dogs still live plenty long (also, why the heck does this matter? No one is gonna think that their pet is gonna live longer or shorter than your neighbors. It’s just sick)
2. Dogs are still loyal. (Also, a solid 1 in 3 dogs I see irl couldn’t care less about the random strangers coming up to rub their back once). I highly doubt that an ordinary cat could find their owner who moved 5 states over
3. Idk about you, but my dog also manages to make be feel better
4. Good hearing means nothing if they are sleeping the whole day, like you said. Also, dogs still hear plenty well
5. Walking your dog promotes health and exercise as well, as you are actively doing it, which essentially removes claim 3
6. My dog is plenty clean pretty much the whole time
7. No one said you have to get a large, expensive dog. If u want, u could get a mini doodle or smth, that eats very little, and doesn’t shed or produce much harmful gasses or whatever

You don’t have a reason 8, but I do:
A-lot more people are allergic to cats then dogs, so dogs are technically healthier

Suffered numerous dog attacks, never suffered a cat attack. No amount of convincing will make me walk on the same side of the street as a dog. Sure, it's irrational, but so am I.

cats claw dogs faces off. PTHBPTHBPTHB

Cat breaks off claw in dog's forehead and runs off and hides under the bed for two days. Dog didn't even notice the claw stuck in her forehead.

Cats fight literal SNAKES

dogs do as well, a month ago my dog killed a snake

That’s cuz the fur makes it hard to see dirt and dust and whatnot

Cuz cats frickin hate water

also going on about loyalty, the only time i ever, ever see my cat is whenever she wants food or if she wants to get inside the house, maybe some of it has to do with the size of my garden but still, and its certainly not the same with my dogs

When I go to my friends house (he has 3 cats), I see one of them for maybe 30 seconds, cuz he has to use the liter box. That’s it
(Tbh, my dog is the same way, cuz he is either in the pool or napping most of the day, but still)

The fact that the cat hasn't had a shower is not the cat's fault.

Did your dog simultaneously hold off 3 coyotes as well?

Dogs are trained to find and rescue people buried in avalanches. Literally saving lives.

Cats can do the same, in addition to bringing inhalers, alerting others of a gas leak, and saving a man with a heart attack by alerting others, and alerting a woman that her house was on fire while she was sleeping.

While dogs are the most common animals used in avalanche rescue, some organizations are exploring the use of cats, specifically through the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Cat Association (CARCA). CARCA teams have demonstrated that cats can be effective in avalanche rescue due to their agility, sense of smell, and ability to be deployed quickly. However, this is still a relatively new concept, and dogs remain the primary animal used for avalanche rescue.

    • While some resorts are experimenting with cats, they are not likely to completely replace dogs, but rather serve as an additional tool in avalanche rescue.

    •

Just because they are not likely to replace dogs does not mean that they are worse than dogs.

cats are irrelevant nowadays we all know this is why you never see cats anymore

Cats or dogs? I eat both, both good, don’t really have a preference.
