(OP’s comment) no… they locked one of the posts after the political discussion died down. people weren’t even discussing politics they were talking about chik fil a and random stuff when a mod locked it without reason
(Me) Yeah I know I was on it. I’m not mad. It’s fine we ended it on a good note. We were at peace with each other. You know people would’ve gotten it locked for valid reasons today. It’s best that the last of that thread was a f us getting along.
They also locked my thread which I had reported someone on it for hate. Atti must’ve come from the conclusion that all the topic would bring was hate.
It’s still talking about religion tho
Whether or not you accept it is unimportant
The fact of the matter is, it’s against ToS, and your gonna have to come to par with that eventually
The T.O.S outlaws political and religious DEBATE. Praying for someone is not starting a debate. Many people who aren't even very religious use terms like "prayers for the family" in these situations. It's not inflammatory and if someone gets offended by something that innocuous, that's their problem.
I hate how much the words "they deserved it" are thrown around these days. We all do and or think terrible things from time to time. Yes some of us less than others, but in a way, doing it once proves you are just as capable of being a terrible person as others. No one deserves to be shot for all the questionable takes in the world, and no one deserves to have their thread hijacked for supporting them.
When people are making this topic connect to his political and religious views, then people are more than welcome to share their thoughts on the matter. If it's as simple as "RIP Charlie Kirk", then people would be stepping be out of line.
I did that. I just don't know what people see in this guy. But, as everyone should think, he didn't deserve to get shot for his views, as stupid as they were.

Atti has said many times that religion isn't allowed in any form, and that any mention of religion can provoke an argument or debate. So, according to the site, religion isn't allowed in any way despite the unclear TOS.
It’s simply a method of mourning.

According to one moderator. I have heard vastly different things from many different moderators on this. That's probably why there's so much variance in how long political and religious discussion takes to get locked. Different mods draw the line at different points. Because they all have to interpret the point it becomes "debate".

No one was actually inciting a debate in that thread until a few people decided they were offended that people were suggesting that this man did anything good in his life. Basically they were so full of hate for him that they couldn't even allow him to have wins in any areas, even after death. That to me seems ironically more religious than leaving a short message respecting his work and dedication.
