The boat and crew knew that it was too dangerous at this point in time. They didn't understand why there was such a storm when they had red skies at night. No matter, the storm of the Tyrrhenian Sea would not be forgotten by this crew for the rest of their lives. The man at the helm did his best to turn the boat quickly which would turn to his peril. This storm turned out to be the result of something unnatural. The crew got their unconscious mate inside, and a ton of water washed up on the desk just as they entered the cabin. But the man at the helm turned the boat west as sharp as he could to run from the storm. However as soon as he did, the unnatural storm picked up the sinking chess box and through it at the man at the helm, also rendering him unconscious. The crew unaware of this, remain in the cabin as the storm overtook the boat and flung it around like a ball on a string. You would think that this was a hurricane. Only it was worse because the storm's source will be found out by the crew soon.

There was a chess board from the 16th century. Just like any other chess board, it was thin and made of wood. The pieces were typical for the time, but there was something strange about it. It was on an Italian Fishing Boat and rapped up in box, but the owner brought it out to the deck during a storm because it made him feel secure for some strange reason. The lightning struck the man and the box burning a hole through just one space. The man fell unconscious and the box with the chess board went out to sea.
