The clock changes aren't cheating, but are caused by the automatic lag adjustment. You can read more about it here:
http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/91/0/why-did-the-clock-times-suddenly-change-the-clocks-seem-broken
The link that "philidor_position" posted does not mention nor even touch upon the matter of how an opponent's clock can ever COUNT UP instead of counting down. However, Chess.Com admits about something like "bouncing".
For christsake yeres; y'know not every thread on this site is about your personal problem.
Complainers who do nothing but troll the forum are mindless of the fact that: There is a time and place for "clock problems". This thread is not the place nor time for a "lag issues" nor for "time bouncing".

here is something that has been driving me crazy for the last months and I was wondering if anybody is experiencing the same:
people are cheating in chess!
there are different ways: either their time counter stops for a few seconds or it adds a few seconds at a move; or the game connection interrupts and comes back with an increased time of your opponent and just now it happened, that the connection was interrupted, I could see in the back the time running off of my opponent but the actual game ended when my time ran off so that the opponent won even though he had stopped playing;
IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS!
Does anybody experience the same thing or is this just a coincidentally happening error.......?????? thanks for your answers.........
