Chess.com, we really need to talk

Today, (as a lot of you may know here on Chess.com) an account by the name of [public accusation removed-UpbeatAngle]  made a new topic in the General Chess Discussion forum.  They were bragging about beating a 2400 rated player when they were 2380, already an exaggeration.  But in that forum, people started arguing about it.  Not that bad on first thought, but it got really bad, really quickly. [public accusation removed-UpbeatAngle] started throwing around homophobic insults and slurs, and insulted everybody who spoke up to him (name rumored to be Jason).  According to MULTIPLE accounts, this person is a convicted stalker and animal abuser who has anger issues.  He repeatedly made insults trivializing rape and abuse.
So here's the part I want to get to.

If you see anybody on Chess.com like this, report them.  Do not be afraid to.  I reported [public accusation removed-UpbeatAngle] and sent him a message requesting he close his account.  Just ten or so minutes later, he closed his own account.  I have never, ever seen anybody this horrible on Chess.com, and hope not to again.  Now don't try to pick a fight and go off reporting people, just report the really bad ones you do see.  Sometimes, for whatever reason, you might be wrong in doing so.  But it's good just to be sure.
Thank you for your time, and keep playing strong!  Have a good day (or night)!

The best thing to do here is to block and report the person. Public naming & shaming of a member is not allowed in the forums, so most probably the moderators will lock this thread.

And btw~

hypermuddish

inb4 (in before) is like saying "I bet 10 bucks" since you're so sure what you're saying will happen. In this case, it means the cat is pretty confident the thread will be locked

Vibhansh_Alok

Hey OP, Do you know what all it takes to get a lock on a thread?.... umm I think you do...

This was meant as more of a psa but I get it. Will keep that in mind, just had to get it out.
