I had a dream playing chess for clothes with a nice girl. I was better, at least in chess and the endgame was in bed...

Was it a dream or a fantisy?  lol

I have never called an electron, and I can't imagine ever doing so.  

Do any of you play chess so much that you dream about chess moves in your sleep? Just curious. [Original question]

I was curious about it because over the last few years I have solved some work problems in my sleep related to the computer and was amazed that I happened to dream the answer... And was curious whether anyone did it with chess puzzles. I only do it if I'm totally wrapped up in the thought process and working on it for several days. It has only happened a few times. But never for chess as I'm fairly new to chess. Played a couple of years but I would still consider myself a beginner.

I have chess dreams fairly often, but have never solved a real-life position, although I do solve a lot of chess problems in my head while lying in bed.

I actually had a chess dream two nights ago.  I remember the left file was open (don't remember what color I was, so I don't know whether a- or h-file).  I moved my rook off the back rank to a2/h7, and—to my surprise—my opponent captured it with a knight!  Then, I started thinking back on how the position was before the move and realized he had made an illegal move—my rook had not been en prise after all.  I had him take the move back, of course!

Your chess dreams seem to be one extreme or the other—it's either strip-chess or a nightmare! 

When I played OTB chess, I dreamt about positions and solved tactics in my dreams. Usually positions I played or studied. Now, I just analyse some of my correspondence games while on the bus or walking in the street.

Dreams of chess aren't always good it's true Bel....

Now, I dream positions of my Chess.com correspondence games...

only when I played turn-based, or falling asleep right after attempting TT

I dream whether any of my friends who I started playing chess with will still be here
