Btw if you end up in a Care-home in Florida be very careful ! A 93 year old lady was just dragged out of such a facility and ended up in hand-cuffs. Not a happy story, arresting someone that age ( yes she must now appear in court as well ).
Chess For Oldtimers --- Part II
Thanks for the post Pam. If I understood correctly it all started with a complaint about her room ( some mold ). The people running the place did not fix the problem so she held back 2 or 3 months rent. Then the decision was made to throw her out but she wouldn't leave and the police were called. She now has to appear in court on a charge of trespassing. Somehow it seems that common-sense was ignored by both sides in this case ( she is coming up on 94 years of age ).

Doesn't look good, evicting a 94 year old or putting her in handcuffs. The home owners should have fixed the mold. Sounds like a feisty old gal!
A sign of aging: " You took a picture of your ear-hair when you tried to answer your multifunctioning cell-phone ".
Some good news about aging: " The nice thing about being senile is that you can hide your own Easter eggs ! "

My bank which I joined is closing down in June. Apparently everyone banks on line these days. Well this luddite doesn't and won't! lol
Thanks for the post Pam. Yes without good health we don't have much of anything, sometimes we forget that fact.

Very true. It makes all the difference to the quality of ones life. Give me good health rather than lots of money any day of the week.
A quote from Groucho Marx ( during his later years ): " Last night I had a typical cholesterol-free dinner: baked squash, skimmed milk, and gelatin. I'm sure this will not make me live any longer, but I know it's going to seem longer. "
--- I still get a chuckle out of that quote, of course it came from good old Groucho lol. Mind you I've become a bit more careful with my diet in recent years too.
Thanks for the post Pam234, yes I thought it was just a minor typo lol.
