Clock Tactics

It's just so sad that many times when your opponent is almost losing or you're in a positional and/or material advantage, suddenly it will come to a point and you'll seemingly notice that in the end you're not winning but instead about to lose because of clock "magic" or time malfunction, so to speak...Heck yeah! How in the world this could happen? It's just an observation and nothing personal, but still it would be best that matters like this be resolve or be taken action by the audience concerned. True, it's just a game but we must still observe the essence of playing in a gentlemanly manner, without the trick or whatsoever...just to win. Anyhow, winning is nothing if done maliciously! What's your take??? Bye!

What likely happened is that you had a brief disconnect and the server may not have received your move.

The server is the keeper of the accurate time. With the lag compensation algorithms the times on the clients may not be accurate. That is why you may occasionally see clocks adjusted in games, even without increments.
