I ALREADY TOLD YOU

Because he wants us to have FAITH, not to be SHOWN CONCLUSIVELY.

So god hides himself and punished those who aren’t convinced he exists. Cool story 👍

ummmmm no

If you're just going to constantly misrepresent our position, this is hardly going to be worth our time

You said god won’t heal amputees because then we’d know he exists. HOW IS THAT NOT HIDING HIMSELF?

Hides himself? Have you looked everywhere for God?

Literally everywhere? That’s impossible. But yes I have absolutely searched for the truth.

According to you he won’t heal amputees because that would be convincing evidence. You don’t think demanding belief with insufficient evidence is dumb af?

The evidence is hardly insufficient. At least, I (and many, many others) have been convinced.

Isn’t it funny how geography plays such a HUGE role in how likely people are to believe. It’s almost as if... belief is based on indoctrination instead of evidence, logic and reason.

... God isn't a genie. This isn't heaven here.

well done pointing out the logic behind that, Jared.

God has revealed to me how faith can help do miracles, which are the least of your expectations.

SO HE *HAS* REVEALED MIRACLES TO YOU, EH? Which means he has no problem demonstrating miracles, which means his explanation for why he doesn’t heal amputees is BS.

So he doesn’t do miracles such as healing the sick?

I think you have it backwards. God is the one making demands. Nearly half of the 10 commandments are solely about being sure you praise him and only him, and don't disrespect him, and be sure to praise him every week.

I guess all the power in the universe couldn't solve God's daddy issues. Looks like someone never got a hug.

This is such a ridiculous (and intentional) misunderstanding of the Christian religion. It's wasting both of our time.

Real the old testament. God is vain, vengeful, and cruel.

I think some of you posting here are kids, because adult Christians don't run away from this stuff. They admit that yeah, God's a real d!ck sometimes, but we have no right to question him, and Jesus is proof of his love.

He's not cruel, he's just.

All have sinned, and deserve the wrath of God.

Maybe you do the hokey pokey and that's what it's all about?

Old Testament stuff again. Is there something wrong with the New Testament? You can bring that issue to Jewish people.

No problem, now help me pick out a picture.

The first picture looks exciting.

The sinners do deserve wrath and punishment. We all do. Like what, let bad guys go unpunished? The thing is, luckily we have a savior. And you can have one too.

I like the first picture more, because it sounds like something you'd say to justify something horrible, like right before electrocuting a new born baby to death.

Which I'm sure God would have no problem with, because "all of sinned, and deserve my wrath"

(Scratches head)

I don’t get anything about electrocuting a baby to death. The sixth lord was electrocuting a grown Jedi.

Yes, I know.

God sent himself to sacrifice himself to himself to save us from himself.

What a nice (and logical) guy this God character is.

So you think God can tolerate sin regularly? Yes or no?

Well he does unless you think we don't sin regularly.

It's really fking close.

God sent himself (Jesus is God)
To sacrifice himself (Jesus was a sacrifice)
To himself (Who else?)
To save us from himself (Jesus saves us from God sending us to hell)

It's less of a sacrifice than a replacement. Jesus suffered so we wouldn't have to.

Also we deserve hell, so, yes, we're being saved from hell, but it's not like it's God wanting to send us to hell. He is just, so He has to send us unless we accept Jesus' atonement.

lol.

It's well known God has a very low tolerance for things.

You know, like any being that pretends to be all powerful, there's always that achilles heel.

So mass murderers simply float to heaven without any trouble.

Line drawn.
