Coolest Anime Ever

So is there a definite defined definition of anime?

Does it have to be japanese?  Is Voltron anime?

Does it have to be sci-fi?  Is Samurai Chompaloo anime?

Does it have to be for kids?  Is hentai anime?

Hentai Is anime, as well as Samurai Champloo.  Voltron Is American, so it is not technically an anime.

I really enjoyed Moonlight Mile and was gutted when it didn't get a third season. On the plus side having to translate the manga is a good way to learn Japanese.

Planetes is another good watch and kind of carries on after the gap in the Moonlight Mile series.

In my opinion anime is one of the ugliest art forms. Yes, I did watch some animes as a kid growing up. The ones I've watched actually were 80s anime and some 70s anime. Also I have seen some 90s anime. They were all ugly but they were at least focusing on the story. Then with the popularity of Pokemon a whole new generation of new exaggerated and ugly anime appeared. Cartoons like bleach, samurai shampoo, attack on Titan. They're all very bad. They exaggerate normal human features. The characters are all based on anime archetypes and have hardly any variation in expression. If you look at story there is nothing original either. It is always coming down to humanism and "believe in yourself" or "trust your heart".
Essentially I strongly dislike anime and manga . In fact I was happy to read more than once that many Japanese hate anime and consider it to be a dirty and cheap "trash art".

True a lot of anime (and the manga/comics it comes from) is frankly awful but... so was the early Sci-Fi 'pulp fiction'* and yet some of those early writers who had so much scorn poured upon them are now regarded as cultural icons of genre.

Starship troopers, I Robot, 2001 A space Odyssey,  Blade Runner, Flash Gordon, Buck rogers, Dune, the list goes on all began as short stories in trashy little comics..

*for you younglings that's not a  Quentin Tarantino reference, long ago comics were printed on paper made from cheap wood pulp

Naruto is awesome

meh... its ok it's just too long I watched all the way to 200 or something but i would rather recommend fairy tail or one piece 

I like One Piece, and have yet to see Fairy Tail, but I have heard good things about it though.

I also really enjoyed Elfen Lied, Naruto (as mainstream as it is  ), cowboy bebop, and Bleach

I haven't seen Much of Bleach, or any of Elfen Lied, But Naruto and Bebop are pretty good animes 8vD

What a ridiculous assumption. Given that you like it so much, I'm surprised you didn't catch that Drawgood said 'shampoo', not 'champloo'. I know it's a good anime. I've seen it.

Ah, the picture was because of his spelling. I thought the picture was how you felt about the quality of the anime or something.  Apparently, I have a bit of a chronic problem with misunderstanding what people mean when they use picture memes lol...my fault BlargDragon..
