Coronavirus freakout- Updates
All the talk nowadays is about Corona (not the beer) and how dangerous or deadly it is. This is far from the case. It has a current mortality rate of only 3.4%, making it far less deadly than its cousin, SARS-CoV, which has a mortality rate of 49%! You only need to be concerned if you or a loved one is elderly, very young, are immunocompromised, or are going through chemotherapy or other treatments that lower the body's ability to fight off infections. The reason people are so afraid is because this is a new, different type of Coronavirus (the family of viruses which cause the common cold, SARS, among other things) and we don't know a lot about it. The CDC, WHO and other places have relevant, accurate up-to-date and helpful information about this, and the facts are changing hourly. Feel free to tell me if this info is not relevant anymore, I will update as needed.
If you are concerned about going to large gatherings, such as chess tournaments or concerts, but still want to go if they aren't canceled yet, try to stay at least 6 feet (1.8m) away from others and don't touch your face. And remember, everyone, wash your hands! This is the best way to stop the spread of germs.

Also, it causes long term lung damage. No say on whether you are immune to the virus after you get it.
Aren't you the same person who made the highly depressing coronavirus poem?
