I do recommend temporary blocks versus permanent. I also recommend that you at times review your block list and consider clemency and 2nd chances for members you have blocked eons ago or do not even remember why you blocked.

I was once blocked in error (wrong click). I was unblocked with an apology years later.

I personally have no one blocked.

All the major COVID vaccines have been proved effective and safe in major double blind clinical trials. Take whichever jab is available for you.

As stated earlier, I already got my first Pfizer jab. I am eagerly awaiting my 2nd.

The Covid-19 crisis in Brazil has never been worse.

Brazil is becoming a global hazard because of Jail Bolsonaro. The fact is Manaus in the north , the rain forest region, is decimated and Brazil continues to be a place where other new variants could emerge. "The pandemic being out of control in Brazil caused the variant," said Pasternak, the Brazilian microbiologist. "And it's going to cause more variants. It's going to cause more mutations because this is what happens when you let the virus replicate freely."

Under the laws of viral evolution, new variants are created to try and allow the virus to spread more easily. Along the way, more dangerous iterations can be created.

"More variants mean that there is a greater probability that one of these variants can really escape all vaccines, for instance," said Pasternak. "It's rare, but it could happen."

Ok, remember that politics about Brazil is still politics .  Keep it closely tied to the pandemic and don't go off on Bolsonaro in general.

I unblocked everyone after a mod told me that they were (at least temporarily) shutting down any new Covid-19 threads but allowing mine to stay open because it was being moderated closely. 

I didn't think it was fair that people that got blocked here would now end up being blocked from talking about Covid-19 completely.  So I cleared the block list.  That being said...everyone should know it in advance now, and if you get re-blocked, that's on you .

I got my second dose of Pfizer yesterday.  It was actually easier than the first...my arm was less sore.  No other side effects, everything is fine so far.

Also political ...

That's two.  For the record, I would personally be fine with having politics on the forums, but that cannot happen here if the thread is going to stay open, so I will be continuing to block people that go off into the political weeds.
