But for where things are getting better, situations arise because different people have different " risk tolerance levels". Just have seen, ...in California some cafés and restaurants are making people wearing mask pay an extra fee for wearing a mask,  when it's not literally asking them mask wearers to leave.

I used to cherish the OUTRAGED looks I would get walking into Costco mask less and being accosted by some terrified soccer mom demanding to “show me proof you are vaccinated!”.

I had perfected my smug ear to ear grin and my sweet “Tough Titty....” response.

Now pretty much everyone here has had enough of these cowering weaklings and there are more maskless people than unmasked.

Are we allowed to talk about Covid coming from a lab yet, since Biden has said about 1/3 of the intelligence community believes that it’s likely?

Or are we still in total sheep mode where unless it’s rubber stamped by someone you consider THE authority it cannot be mentioned because no narrative outside the mainstream narrative could POSSIBLY be true?

But he vaccine is supposed to do something to protect us , to decrease the risk of infections and to decrease the need for masks. So   It could be a renewed  negative attitude based on the assumption that Unnecessary stress caused by unnecessary measures against  this virus have negative consequences.  But we have not seen too many examples of restaurants doing that. Let people decide if they want to wear a mask 😷 or not , maybe?

The origination of the virus has never been absolutely confirmed.  People are free to speculate, and to quote reasonably sourced articles that speculate (no crazy bloggers or AM radio hosts ...).  As long as they don't try to post misinformation or state their speculations as if they are facts.

For Trump mentions, an occasional reference related to the pandemic is ok, indirect references are probably okay, but watch out for directly bashing people for who they support politically (or for evangelizing who you support yourself)...that will get the thread locked, so I will block posters before that happens.

There was scant evidence before when the former president was making the claim. I also find it interesting and baffling why a certain segment of the population who claim that Covid is no big deal, a hoax, no more serious than a bad flu, etc., etc., is more focused on laying blame on where it came from than trying to do whatever it takes to rid the country of infection. But ignorance is bliss until you've lost a loved one to it, or become infected yourself. There are plenty of people in the morgue who identified as vaccinated. So far, you've been one of the lucky ones.  Hopefully, you won't infect anyone with your childish disregard. 

What do you want to do if it's confirmed that the virus started in the lab? Go to war with China?  You'll have to find a different country to buy your Trump shirts and maga hats.

We need dams to control flooding, irrigation, power, and many other things. Covid is a damn thing.

If it turns out to be true this virus originated in a lab, which many very prominent people admit is possible, why would you not want to know that? Would you still want to fund that incompetent lab?

Finding out the virus’ origins is key to making sure something like this doesn’t happen again or at least limiting the likelihood

I’ll mention the virus’ origins because it’s completely relevant to the topic and won’t throw the thread off it’s purpose....I mean that’s a hell of a lot better than some of you attempting to turn it into a pilot LHS conversation by screaming “TRUMP” at the top of your lungs.
