Me too for the same reasons! I've had 2 shots and I ain't dead yet.

Our chess club opened back up a couple weeks ago.  So i decided to go this week.  Easily half the people in the building were not wearing masks, even though they are required.  I chose not to wear mine.  I was playing a casual game with a nice young man that would wear a bandana....take it off....put it on....take it off...put it on.  So I asked him:  "Would you be more comfortable if i put a mask on?"  He said no, but appreciated that i asked. 

Planet Fitness is open, but masks are required.  And again, easily half the people inside are not wearing a mask, and no one working there says anything.  Even though im not "pro mask"  I do wear it most of the time.  I do take it off once in a while.

Would i have an issue with someone that complained about the people not wearing a mask?  Not at all. 

Sadly i think we as a nation have become so passive and self-centered, not even a virus, and govt. mandates will wake us up.  As long as we have an electronic device to stare at, we are "happy"....or ignorant.  Take your pick.

Covid 19 fake is depopulation

Covid positive test rates were down to 0.5% here and now are over 6%...you can take a guess which segment of the population is making up the 6%.  If people would just get vaccinated and then check those rates and not screw around until it's sub 1%, this variant surge could have been over already.  The spread of the Delta variant is courtesy of the unvaccinated.

The sad part is, if there had been a worldwide 3 week hard shutdown in February 2020, 100s of millions of infections could have been avoided.

When the world population tops 10-15 billion in the future and viruses are rampant and spread is almost impossible to contain, there will be house arrest for people that don't follow guidelines.

"Freedom" is relative.  Nobody is complaining that they can't start a bonfire on their local street corner and have a cookout.  Human beings have to adapt to living with the rest of humanity...and at 8 billion people, viruses are part of that adaptation and it's only going to get worse until a virus "thins out" several billion people...

Some people (even here on the forums) are hoping for just that outcome, and have a "let them die in droves as long as I survive comfortably" outlook.  Not me, though.

Natural disasters (I'll include plague) naturally cause anxiety.

When the cause of anxiety is completely out of the person's control, then it's natural for the psyche to focus that anxiety on something the person can control.

Rationally speaking, wearing a mask is an extremely dull activity, but it's a convenient symbol for an anxious mind to latch on to and it's something that's easy to control.

Same with a vaccine.

A vaccine isn't a 100% grantee you'll never get sick, so for a person with crippling anxiety due to a pandemic, it may be little comfort.

Much more comforting is an idea that involves complete control. The virus is a hoax, and all you have to do is ignore the vaccine. Now the person can be in control.

It's not amazing. The germ theory of disease is well known and simple enough for a child to understand.

Yeah, the eyes do... but who knows what the mask is hiding.

As they say, "the mouth is the window to the soul."

   Oh god no......I'm too exhausted for that. I have nothing to add about covid. The only thing that happened to me today was I got extorted by a Home Depot driver.

Here’s another stupid thing. They keep trying to manipulate people into getting it. They’re thinking of the stupid “vaccine passports” saying you can’t leave unless you get vaccinated or doing the “vaccine lotteries.” That’s both manipulative and shady. They can’t force people to vaccinate and they shouldn’t be trying

And the people in critical care homes hate being locked up so much. Some of them couldn’t see their family before they died because the doctors wouldn’t let people in or the dying person out. So please stop using the load of crap “protecting grandma excuse” most grandmas would rather see the grandchildren. And if people are scared of catching this virus. They can stay home and do click and collects for the rest of their lives. Stop quarantining the heathy

No. She won’t. My oma doesn’t have much time left anyway she’d rather see us than stay locked in her home.

Since i waited so long to get the vaccine i was incorrectly labeled an "anti-vaxer", conspiracy nut, anti-govt. blah...blah...blah.

It made no difference how well....slowly...clearly I explained my reasons for waiting.  People only believed what they wanted to believe.
