Yeah, it's definitely interesting, and I'm glad someone posted it here, but I error on the side of skepticism.

Khannate1

People collapsing on the streets, people burning bodies in the middle of the street, large flocks of buzzards circling over the city. I'd call that nightmarish.

edit:  Added a youtube video.  Don't watch it if you're squeamish about such things.

Khannate1

this is not the dark ages , refuse trucks will be converted and the dead taken to cremation or landfill whilst we stay indoors , some would consider that nightmarish too , but it is late and who needs bad sleep

Confused-psyduck

I am not saying all Videos are fake, but in our modern era it is rather easy to alter Videos, by Lying about the origin or date of it, or sometimes even providing a wrong translation of what is said in it.

I know that after the outbreak erupted in here, there was a lot of Videos circulating on the internet, supposedly proving that people were still eating bats, went to super crowded events etc etc... But then, after fact check up it turned out that somr of those Videos were taken years ago, sometimes in different countries etc..

While Videos May certainly seem to be a trustworthy source of information, Because "I believe what I See", but they are a great source of misinformation as well.

I didn't watch the video You posted @Quasimorphy , I am not saying it is misleading or wrong, I am Just saying that they can't always be trusted.

Looks like the CDC is putting some "social distancing" between themselves & Trump.     https://www.yahoo.com/news/cdc-website-drops-guidance-anecdotal-165821932.html

I think it's probably just a case of someone at the CDC realizing that they shouldn't give their lawyers too much work in the future. It doesn't matter - the word is out.

If you can afford to wait for the results of the randomized control trials, that's great. However, if you don't have the time, it's an option for you and your doctor to consider.

Covid-19 is BAD. That sums it up.

It is, but that doesn't change the fact that the death toll per million in Ecuador is only slightly above the world average. They don't leave them on the streets in first world countries, but they're still dying more per million in a lot of Europe and the U.S.

I guess i don't have as much confidence in Ecuador's reported death numbers as you do.

Hmmmm.  I don't like the sound of this.

i've also seen news about people who have very low antibodies after recovering, possibly too low to prevent reinfection.

Premier League players announce Players Together initiative, partnering with NHS Charities. This is a fund for players to contribute directly to the NHS. Health Secretary Matt Hancock states 'Warmly welcome this big hearted decision from so many Premier League footballers... You are playing your part.'

Yes I see your opinion is entrenched. Its positive news in any case.

Some people are underpaid (health care workers) and some are overpaid (footballers). But it is not the fault of the individual employee, it's just how it is (of course there are specific reasons but you know what I mean). A bit rich of Conservative MPs to be making such statements... who can influence the resources and wages of health care workers more than those in government? Anyway, I just feel that footballers get a lot of unfair criticism, a lot of which is prompted by the green eyed monster. They are the very fortunate few, mostly from lower income backgrounds themselves, who get to live the dream of a large percentage of little boys. These little boys then become adult men who complain bitterly about the lifestyles and wealth of others who live the dream that they couldn't. (not speaking of you specifically here @Itude, just a general point). Anyway, I'll shut up about it now.

Same as this ?

Fifty-one recovered coronavirus patients test positive AGAIN in South Korea amid fears virus can hide in human cells and reactivate
  • Patients were put in quarantine in Daegu after being diagnosed with coronavirus
  • Tested positive again days after being released, according to Korean officials
  • Health chiefs in South Korea believe the virus may lay dormant in cells in bod

Just finished reading the article. Wow. A Daily Mail article that downplays something. I'm not sure I've ever seen that before.

I'll see if I can find the other article I was talking about. It was talking about some recovered COVID-19 patients having very low or even no detectable anti-bodies.  It was referenced on a youtube video i watched.

We dont quartaine when millions die from traffic war other diseases just daily life but we do when a few die of covid protect and distance the elderly but let young healthy people work before the economic shock will hit so many people the percentage of young people dying because of covid is too low to warrant global lockdown.

Yeah ,just letting it run wild and kill many people and smash health services sounds like a really good idea..dunnit

There are many things that kill many more people than corona do you want everyone to sit in their home everyone would go bankrupt and the world wouldnt work anymore then you have problems.

Quasimorphy

I saw one guy floating the idea that we may eventually need to infect people with the minimum amount of virus to cause infection and let them get sick and recover to get them back into the workforce.  Sounds like a shaky idea to me, but who knows how this thing will play out.

Khannate1

we do this annually in the uk with the flu virus injection for our elderly quasimorphy ,
