I was joking somewhere else that Dr Luc Montagnier could become the first to receive 2 Nobel Prizes. But concerning the variants , reading some of the news today, I 've found no reasons to be alarmed right now... If I'm not mistaken, until now the new variants have only proven they could make the virus more transmissible, but not more deadly. Vaccines could require adjustments but high levels of vaccination will be considered one of the key elements in fighting this pandemic even with variants.
