Regular chess club activities have they been started in your places or not? Do they have any restrictions if they've already started? Here not such activities. Hopefully there will be some in the near future

Good advice and firsthand information, thanks

The new vaccine for Covid should hopefully give some relief for the general public around the world. India has already started giving vaccines to the most vulnerable and most exposed personal like, doctors, nurses, health care workers and the elderly.

Any update from other parts of the world?

Is it true that Covid is manmade?

Bharat Biotech's vaccine (Covaxin) which is being administered to the frontline personnel in India has not completed its phase 3 trials. The publications of phase 1 and 2 are there. But phase 3, the trials isn't over yet. Nobody has seen the data except the expert committee, and no one knows who those guys are.

Some healthcare workers have expressed concerns over this and said they feel like guinea pigs. Currently, no one knows if the vaccine actually helps in achieving what it is trying to achieve. God save the nation.

that's absolute garbage, the whole point of phase 3 is so that citizens don't have to be guinea pigs! Hope things get sorted out, and wondering if any shipments of Pfizer or Moderna are making there way to India?

I don't have a mask because I am running short of masks.

A simple cloth mask is easy to make, and is reusable. If you actually cared about continuing to wear a mask, there are countless tutorials online on youtube.

We have that here too. It's too early to know the long term consequences of any given vaccine but the short term results seem to be promising. Yesterday a healthcare worker brought to my attention a practice I was not aware of. Their reporting system does not allow for recording negative covid tests for those seeking elective procedures. A negative test is required to get the procedure, and when it comes back negative, the computing system does not allow entry of that information. So they must record it as "presumed positive". I don't know what the purpose of that is, but it's an interesting development.

Nope, I don't think that any Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are coming to India any soon.

Pfizer simply does not have enough capacity to cater to India since it currently has commitments to other countries (US, UK, EU, Canada, Mexico, et cetera), and the government apparently hit some roadblocks with Moderna early in the talks for procurements, so Moderna's also out of the picture.

Maybe those that developed Covaxin figured that it's what's best for everyone. So there isn't any need to ask any questions.

What do you mean? That it didn't rain today? We've had good weather, everyone is happy and healthy, so I cant complain. I suppose the only downside is the coming unrest and uncertainty due directly and indirectly from covid fatigue. I was just wondering why more discussion hasn't centered around Ivermectin. But it's also interesting Abhins comments about a vaccine in his country not being thoroughly daylighted.
