Yeah, I'm pretty sure disinfectant does not qualify for a covid-19 vaccine (never inject disinfectant it will kill you folks). Definite jail time for that one.

If that is directed at me, I have always said that I wear a mask in public and everyone should. I also presented scientific studies out of commonly excepted journal articles for information indicating that masks are only on average 50% effective at stopping droplets forced from your lungs, but more or less so depending on the type (25% to 75% range). No need to go over it again as everybody is free to do their own research and it childish to keep repeating readily available scientific information. It would appear that social distancing is by far better, which personally is what I try to do. Lucky to have a wife that seems immune to almost everything and a son that is 25 to do most of the errands.
If only most people have such common sense, the world would be a better place
Unfortunately, many people have taken it upon themselves to spread misinformation, which is partly why this forum has gone as long as it has. We must continue to check those that spread misinformation and set the record straight. I've done this, for at least 50+ forum pages against certain people which I will not name, but they know who they are. For those that are into the real facts however, it is fact that masks work, social distancing works, and not going to social gatherings work to reduce spread. With the new variants coming out of the woodwork, it is important that we once and for all come together to meet this virus head on, or else we will be seeing thousands and thousands of more needless deaths, with or without the vaccines.
Why do they spread such misinformation on purpose? Do you suspect some bigger players behind the scenes?

Here old and vulnerable people are being passed over with our surplus vaccines in favor of younger healthier people who work at schools. The theory is that way schools can open sooner. We also had a decision that said bars and restaurants that are now out of business can still pay their license fees, they just don't have to pay any late fees. Oh the joyous celebration and back patting at this forward thinking and brilliant idea. The people who put these businesses OUT of business tell everyone how great they are by this generous offering.

I don't make political comments. But I do keep track of covid decisions in our state. The comment was about a drug treatment for the virus. Not a cure. And just like in our state, often the messenger of things like treatments, rates, numbers, etc. take precedence over the message itself.

That's because if it goes the other way, and becomes more dangerous then the host dies out, which means the virus dies out. Or at least lies dormant for a while. Just like the common cold, it's very likely this virus will mutate into many different forms. I would expect most of them to be less dangerous, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few become more dangerous.
