If South Africa take their current form, Nepal will have a good chance :(
Once they get de Kock out the rest crumble.....
I reckon the Aussies are strong, But on the subcontinent I'd place a small bet on India

I'd say Group 1 looks very open, as you say South Africa are on a bad run, so are England. West Indies are fairly unpredictable so I can see New Zealand having a decent chance. I'd say the winner will be from group 2, but some strong teams will be knocked out here
I can see Bangladesh doing better than normal, not only as hosts but also they get 4 extra games as practice where their players can get unto good form. Not quite dark horses, but they could cause some upsets
Ithink SA will be a diffrent side this time, previously they won everything before the T20 tournament and came wonting there thistime they lost there last matches, so i back my team.
Who's the SA captain? ABDV?
Pakistan won against NZ over night. Their spin options give them a real chance as well
The way the Aussies have been playing this season I'd say it would be hard to go against them if it were anywhere but the subcontinent. Since it's in Bangladesh, we might struggle a little bit but I'm confident we'll make it to the semis.
What will be interesting is the qualifying round- I'm hoping Ireland qualify because they might be able to give the competition a fair shake and it would be great to see them in the semi finals. Wishful thinking, I guess...
My prediction: Australia vs New Zealand final, and I'm only a little bit biased, I swear
If Blackcaps don't improve their batting strength then i don't see they have any chance to make it to final because here in Bangladesh, the pitches are completely spin bowling friendly and as we can see in recent years they had struggled against spin bowlling, specially in Bangladesh.
Quite right nibir! They're an exciting bunch but only a few have proved themselves, and not on the subcontinent. How do you see the hosts going? They've had a lot of practise games
I wouldn't mind that one bit slide_checkmate
@AmlasBeard He played in the game against Pakistan
Tahir is in the squad for South Africa but I'm not sure if he'll get to play since they've recently been looking to Duminy as their spin option... Not sure how long that's going to last to be honest...
Also, Ireland are looking good to qualify so the first part of my forecast is falling into place
The cricket t20 World Cup 2014 began today, Nepal and Bangladesh both managed fairly easy victories. But who's going to win?
