Could I just- could I also give some advice? Okay, like it or not, here it goes:
Talk about the history of John Danne, his beautiful poems on death, then start talking about Astrophella and Stella, its something every one knows, except you guys, then start jumping, then stop jumping, then practice throwing bo-shurikens with her, then think of the weirdest joke ever and say it, and then start laughing, and don't stop. Okay, maybe stop after 10 minutes or so.
Now now now, now all you have to do, Is do the Complete Opposite of everything I just said.

Honestly my advice is if your to shy don't say it, first try to him/her a friend then slowly increase to relationship status so that this way he/her doesn't get overwhelmed with a flood of emotions
