Isn't chess.com a place we come to escape into this game from the reality of the world? To put stressors out of mind by this friendly competition?
Chess can be an escape from reality. However, too much of an escape isn't healthy either. I like to think of chess and the real world as two faces of the same thing.
I've decided to start this thread as an open discussion room for anything related to current events.
