What good does it do if we read it?
Dear chess.com support.

So like, they are fine with "people" like Baby to run around on OTF, but when a kid is struggling with suicidal thoughts, BAN??? I am disappointed in chess.com...
In their defense on this topic, they can't ban baby because anyone determined enough to keep showing up has many ways to evade the bans. Ip bans don't work thanks to his VPN, account bans do nothing as he can just create new Google accounts, and hardware bans while significantly more effective can still be worked around, especially on a less restrictive os like android which is what baby uses. So there's no real way to perma ban him. That being said, they should focus their efforts on keeping him and other trolls out rather than innocent users.
More people will be enlightened on what CC's done, which is horrible, and you know that no mods/staff ever check the site feedback section, right?

Help and support. Or the support section, which is what they're going to tell you. This thread won't do anything, honestly. They never respond to threads.

I have a theory on why they banned him. Maybe they assumed he was another disgusting troll faking sui. Remember wofreader, spring, and so on? It's entirely possible they thought he was doing the same thing. These people lying about it in the past are starting to take credibility from people with potentially real issues. Let's hope that's not what's happening, even though it makes a lot of sense based on how lazy the moderation has been recently

The problem is support is inconsistent. Sometimes you'll get someone who is polite and replies within 2-3 days. Sometimes you get a jerk who leaves you on hold for months. We can't rely on half hearted efforts like that to be listened to.

In the grand scheme of things chess.com is going to be more focused on the actual chess related parts of the site, so it's no small wonder that some things are neglected and mishandled as far as a few random forum users are concerned

Maybe. If that's the case, then that's sad how lazy they are and how they don't look into anything. I think they banned him so they wouldn't be forced to take action over anything he said, and saw it as an easy way out of moderating the threads he was on, considering sui was talked about by him quite a lot.

Maybe. But if we all put in a support ticket, I'm sure we can get this all resolved.

I'm writing to you here, in a public forum, instead of using the support tab, because, quite frankly, it sucks, and a little of this post is about that.
I'd like to address you about two members who have asked you, the mods and staff team of chess.com, to contact them, since they are unable to in the support tab, and do not have accounts to make forum threads.
1) Macca. I don't remember Macca's username, since it had a long string of numbers at the end, but if anyone remembers, it would be greatly appreciated. Macca was banned from chess.com what I believe was about 1-2 months ago. His account was closed for "death threats". Someone also hacked his account, so he thought that a hacker might have done that for a while, but then, when he finally received a message back from support, they told him that these so called "death threats" were him making suicidal remarks. It's not ok to ban someone for this AT ALL. If a member of your platform is making this kind of remark, you should be doing whatever is in your power to help them, not remove them from the site and several people who are important to them. This is a message that the user sent me on a writing platform we both use, called Scribblehub. I feel terrible for what's happening, and honestly, I've realized that you definitely don't care about your community's personal health, if you're going to ban someone for that. Seriously, chess.com? Clean up your freaking act. Unban him, or watch yourselves become greedy monsters who only care about the money you make from your stupid premium memberships. Mute me for writing this, and you're just making another cowardly move.
2) @Ethereal_Enchantress. She also reached out to me on Scribblehub, because she wanted to reopen her self closed account. She was having problems with the support tab, as I have, so I contacted @AwesomeAtti about it. His response was to contact support, and they would respond eventually. But you need to contact a staff to reopen your account, and my friend is unable to do that. My friend @TheGalaxyGirl253 had trouble with that in the past, too, and I have, as well.
I'd like you to heavily reconsider your banning of Macca. Macca was never an abusive person, and you shouldn't be considering suicidal remarks death threats, or you're just another site that doesn't care about its members. I'd also like you to reopen @Ethereal_Enchantress, instead of saying that she needs to contact support, which she's already tried to do. The support tab hasn't been working well at all lately, and you refuse to accept it.
Admit it, you've made some bad mistakes. I expect that Macca and @Ethereal_Enchantress will be both reopened within one week. Or you want me to make some more forums exposing you? We can play that game. But we don't have to. Reopen them, and write Macca and apology letter. That's all.
Chess.com, you're far from perfect. It's time to face the music.
#1... Why the heck is Misha using ChatGPT all the time?
I wonder the same sometimes :/
I see that a mod moved this post to the "site feedback" section so they could just ignore this post. So you're not even going to respond? Lame. Well, I'm putting this back in otf where people will actually read it.
