Someone's in a sour mood - or depressed, idk which...

You have no business Optimissed giving any advice regarding Depression - especially to minors. The topic is one that reguires professional help and should not be discussed in this setting . A mod should lock this thread immediately. It is innappropiate for discussion.

StormCentre3

Depression is a Medical Condition. A serious one. Minors are too easily influenced. This is entirely an inappropriate setting for any discussion.

You know, I don't know if you feel able or not to approach your parents on this matter. It's obviously causing you concern ... that is, the anxiety attacks are sufficient that you're willing to ask the advice of strangers. It may be that your parents will have medical cover that would cover you. One possible tactic is to visit your doctor and explain what's happening to you; but also explain that you have been advised that CBT or psychoanalysis are the wrong approaches at least at this early stage and that you want person-centred Rogerian counselling. Again, it's not that my name's Roger! Carl Rogers is a very-well-thought-of American psychologist and the leader in the field.

A proper person centred counsellor will not ask you hordes of questions about yourself and will never attempt a diagnosis. Their mission is to get you to talk about your situation voluntarily and they might be interested in a lot of background stuff. Eventually they will know you well enough that they can discuss potential strategies with you. You know, ways that maybe you can come to terms with things that will help you cope much better with what's happening, both to you and in your environment. A typical course would be 12 or 13 one hour sessions. It's expensive and so an insurance plan would help very much.

Holy bleep that sounds awesome.
