Danny Wrench was just interviewed briefly during the tournament. We gotta go play sometime.
Magnus Carlson and his brother-in-law are both at this tournament hanging out. Magnus is carrying what looks like a putter, maybe for autographs. This is pretty cool!
Magnus is a quality fan. It started pouring rain at the last hole and a half and what did he do? He stayed out there with the players in the rain. Class act! 4-way tie for first after the first round.

I was reporting on what was happening while watching it live. Whether people would care or not, I was not sure. However, I thought it might be worth reporting for history's sake. I was under the impression that Anish Giri and Danny Wrench were disc golfers themselves. I love the idea of these two things coming together. Seeing Paul McBeth and Magnus Carlson together (both being GOATs) was pretty high on the cool factor. As it turned out, I did not see any autographs on Magnus' putter at the end of round one.
Right now, there's a Professional Disc Golf Association tournament underway sponsored by Chess.com. They are showing it LIVE on (search for) Disc Golf Pro Tour on YouTube. It is exciting to see my 2 favorite things come together like this. It is just Disc Golf, but I love seeing the chess pieces in the ads and on the course. You guys rock!
