OK, how many senses do we have?

Oh, you already know about the 6th as an actual sense instead of "psychic" bs? Now I gotta come up with something else...

OK, how many emotions (not feelings, but) emotions do we have?

The 6th sense is balance / proprioception. The traditional 5 date back to Platistotlecrates. There's the vestibular apparatus in the inner ear that helps us orient in 3 dimensional space. Thanks to gravity, and fluid/hairs in the inner ear, we actually do have a 6th sense.

We have 7 emotions: seeking, rage, lust, fear, nurture, separation, and play. Estonian neuroscientist Jaak Panksepp used functional brain scans and found the same fundamental 7 affective neuro responses across all species of mammals.
