Its too specific. Theres only a small chance people will listen to the same bands. if you change it to music genres instead, more people will have similarities

Not a ton, therefore, but not too bad. My three big finds recently have been Weyes Blood, Jessie Ware, and Michael Kiwanuka. If you aren't familiar, "wiseblood" makes Joni Mitchell-style singer-songwriter stuff, Jessie Ware invokes the days of Apollonia and Bananarama, and Michael Kiwanuka does early-70s style psychedelic soul. So ... all three retro acts, I guess.
