Do You Think Parallel Worlds Exist?

Let me know your opinion, and then I will give my own and do my best to explain the concepts and how it works.

Avatar of Link4000

I will start by saying that I believe 100% that parallel worlds exist. An explanation of this shall come later.

I dont

Mind explaining your reasoning? If you can?

Avatar of Link4000

Not to be rude, of course.

Unlikely. And even if there were one, if we cannot het there there is no use. Parallel would mean like a mirror. Questions: who is the reflection and who the original?

Avatar of Link4000

Parallel is not like a mirror. It's not like a reflection, it's more like a slightly different version of the same thing.

Avatar of wouterkabouter

How slightly is slightly then? Very relatvie meaning. I AM thinking of matter and antimatter keeping one another in balans, but that would mean that it is similar but Opposites. For the rest completely the same

Avatar of Link4000

Well, it would depend on the situation, but I will wait for a few more opinions before going into my explanation.

Avatar of wouterkabouter

Ok. Hopefully I Will not be in the parallel universe by then....

I'd prefer to spend my time contemplating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. :-)

happy.png So I just wanted to say that my logic will go into Quantum Physics, so I apologize in advance if I do not explain it well.

Avatar of llama47

Yeah, it makes sense when you think of it as in quantum physics. Everything that has a chance of happening, happens. Reality "branches" off each time something else can happen.

Avatar of Link4000

Thank you. More detail about that coming up happy.png

Will you include something about Schrödinger‘s Cat?
Avatar of Link4000

Of course. In fact, that is the basis for my argument!

Avatar of blueemu

I think that the Everett or "Many Worlds" interpretation of Quantum Mechanics is nonsense, if that's what you're referring to. It's basically just a mathematical gimmick introduced to avoid dealing with the discontinuity imposed by wave-function collapse.

My advice: Deal with it.
