A neat explanation for magicians when asked how is it done is-
Wires - it’s all done with wires. Neat and tidy -not to believed as no wires are ever seen (inches away) . So the magician is telling the truth and thought to be deflecting some other real explanation. ☝️

Well, it is an illusion and the illusion is that random is deterministic. We also have free will, can make decisions etc. A claim that determinism is true to the extent that all results of chess games are pre-determined is literally completely impossible to prove so it would amount to an empty claim.

The topic is - True randomness
and not randomness- which is far easier to define and qualify. The OP was misguided, imo, to associate dice with T/R.
There has been much discussion of a definition -
For myself randomness can be defined and explained with scientific terms - observations and measurements.
True randomness is philosophical- it can never be proven yet lies at the very core of personal beliefs/ a persons world view.
If it was asked does randomness exists the thread would have died on the 1st page. Adding one term “true” makes for the lively discussion and differences of opinion.
So why do you think it's about something you call T.R. which you say is seperate from R? To me, they are just general questions from the pov of someone who tends towards the view that randomness is appearance only and therefore it doesn't really exist.

I only said it’s a philosophical question - TR and not a question of statistics or mathematical probabilities - R.
I'd sort of glanced at the first post. I equate randomness with true randomness. They're the same but one is an emphasis.

Randomness is an abstract concept like infinity that exists only in concept and has no physical basis. True randomness is in fact achieved only with maximum entropy, which perhaps only exists when time is at infinity

This seems to violate a longstanding assumption held by mathematicians, that prime numbers should behave much like random numbers. Of course, prime numbers however are generated in a deterministic algorithm, albeit with a very strange unexplained computational bias.
