Don't Mind Me!

Don't mind me! I'm just a pawn,

incapable of killing any enemy

who happens to spawn

right in front of me,

just a measily, weasily, trivial yawn

not even worth chasing, or noticing,

especially while you're attacking

closing in on the King!

Don't worry about that man behind the curtain, as they say!

How far could I possibly get

if you let me play

a little while longer,

you're so busy anyway?

I'm tiny, insignificant,

not even here to see!

You've got your hands full

seeking victory

trying to trap that Queen 

in a move or three,

so yeah...better hurry,

get goin'; don't mind me.

Just a lonely ol' pawn

out mowin' the lawn

reciting poetry.

Oh, my bad! Turns out it's a taunch too late,

cuz...uh...ya know...that thar's checkmate!

BOOM!

Get the broom!

I failed to mention,

I assure you not out of spite,

that once I reach the end

of the board I have the option

of becoming any piece with the exception

of King, so, now I'm a knight

and you just lost the fight!

This pawn of yours, does it have a crew? you see because mine does and through your pawn they will smash through.  one by one my pawn against yours, you will hear screams, some cries, it will be the chess of horrors!  If you go first, I will be last, but to be last, in this game of pawns, it will be my victory with a victory song.
