Earth is flat. Prove me wrong.

This reminds me of the Weird Al song, "EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG!"

If I knew that everything I know is wrong, how did I know this? Weird Al is on to something.

We all know that the flat disk we live on is spinning. The hard part to grasp is that at the same time it "flips". Imagine flipping a coin in the air, but slower. Once every 24 hours, giving us the day and night. Scientists refer to this as the Flipping Rotational Law of Planetary Discs.

Have you heard REM's "Man On The Moon" ....one of my karaoke favourites !

And someone said Kaynight was witty.

I made it back and in my travels I circunavigated the earth and now understand everything.

The earth is flat, but exactly the same on both sides.  When I got to the westernmost end I flipped over and started back east, but on the bottom. (fn. there is no top, bottom, up or down in space. Only using these terms for eplanatory references.)  I'm not sure what flipped me over, but I am going to check instruments and analyze later. I also blacked out for 2 minutes and 37 seconds as I flipped, so I estimate the earth is 1.3 miles thick.

Roundies are delusional.  I have checked it out on my computer and run it by the UN.  The science is NOW settled.

Another fact. The sun could been seen 24/7 if the sky wasn't black at night. Innocent

The space station is visible though.

Yes, but there's no staff there in the evenings.

the earth is flat on most maps and in atlasses, so maybe the opee is not alone. you can get 3-D though.

The science in this thread is so flawed it's not even funny.

The ocean is about 7 miles deep, so that would mean that the disc would have to be at least that thick in order to provide a basin to contain the water.

Much thicker than the 1.3 miles proposed here (post #276).

Lucien... The ocean is 7 miles deep? I'll check this out next time I'm scuba diving and get back to ya.

You got it all wrong fish. No food for you. md innerspace has nothing to do with supper.

You are catching bigger ones I see. Gonna release that shark?

Avatar of Deemin-Hipster-Chick

anyway, don't think the earth is flat just cos its got pavemince. akshilly the sharks mum is rite behind my butt so I guess it's chips for tea :(

Avatar of Commander_Crunchy

It's not just the ocean...some mines are well over 1.3 miles deep.

Avatar of mdinnerspace

OK... just got back from the decompression chamber. I found the bottom of the ocean. Nowhere nears 7 miles. I dug a hole, and guess what? The water started to drain! I plugged it back up right quickly. Thank you. Further proof that the earth is flat.

Avatar of mdinnerspace

Ur right about the mines. Almost got myself blown up.
