Oh yay cool, and what sorta things are going to happen, is it going to be like fights against aliens and stuff? (Just so I can tailor my character to the story better, not looking for any major spoilers)

Description: An old man wearing an old suit of combat gear from a faction that no longer exists. Still decently strong despite his age.
Survival Knowledge: Extensive. He spent a lot of time in the wild places of the world before he left on this trip.
Personal Item: An entire sniper that fires high-energy laser rounds instead of bullets. Modified to be capable of drawing energy from a lot of possible sources (Solar, various forms of fuel, blood, etc.). Completely silent when firing. A family heirloom that he got from his dead great-grandma, who was waiting for another sniper to show up in the family.
Background:
Raven comes from a military family, namely one of snipers. However, not a single sniper had come from the family in two generations, making him the only active sniper in the family. His great-grandmother, however, was also a proud sniper in her time, and was hiding the great family heirloom. The heirloom in question was a sniper that the rest of the family had no idea existed, as it was only to be granted to the best sniper of each generation. After seeing two generations go by, his great-grandmother had given up hope of living to see another sniper in the family, and planned to destroy the sniper before she died. Then, Raven came along. She held no doubts that he was the one who would get the gun, and on his 18th birthday she gave it to him (much to the dismay of the rest of the family). He grew up to be a truly great sniper. Fast forward to today, and he's probably the last person of his family left alive.
