Fun story.

So I was the middle of my chess class and at the end of the class we played a tournament. It was a team tournament and I was in the team that always loses. (This was on lichess btw). I beat my 2100 opponent with ease, and then played a 8 minute long game against a 1900. Rook endgame, I throw, I win, I throw, he blundered mate in one, cool stuff. The main cool thing about this was when I played the lowest rated player so far, a 1500. Obviously, I didn’t know the power of this kid. We were playing chess(the game is below)

So, the game was probably going to be a draw, then was probably winning for him, then it was a draw again. At this point the teams were close, but the enemy team was 8 points higher than us, so we needed some clutch wins. At this point(cue the baka mitai music) our team was guaranteed to lose, but because he premoved a single move, I was completely winning. The move before mate, there was 50 seconds left in the tournament. Given that he had amazing sportsmanship, he let the clock run out to 0, and then gave me the win, making it in both of our minds, that my enemy’s team won and our team lost, but when the coach was elated when it was drawn, I decided to check out what happened. Even though on both of our game clocks, it showed 0:00, but it was delayed by 3 seconds. With the most epic comeback of all time, me and the opposing team’s leader, let’s call him lemon, fought to the death. He lost 2 pawns very quickly, and I had a guaranteed win on move 10, but I didn’t take it cause in my words “omg that looks very risky I think I shouldn’t take the free rook” -_-. He gave a rook, and hung a second rook, but before that, my device died so I couldn’t see the people’s commentary of the game was. I decided to troll in a very important game, so I didn’t take the rook. I soon won(obviously you think I’m a idiot?) and left. Tbh that was probably the easiest game of the tournament LOL.
