it's really funny because it's like playing god in censorship, not wanting to hear input from others.

 

if anything said was so terrible, that's when a report would be in order. but to block without a good basis other than not wanting to hear a difference of opinion, then i say shame on them.

 

accordingly when i discover i am being blocked, that's when i decide to be equally fair with them.

 

i just discovered being blocked by one member who i had no chats with, nothing inflammatory spoken of in the forums by myself and if anyone sees how i conduct myself here with any sense of fairness, they'd see it's serious or humorous or both, but never being a first-strike attacker on anyone and even if I am being attacked I will normally try to get a person to focus and explain why they chose that route before possibly entering a more intensive engagement.

hi, I guess you mean that's frustrating instead of funny? although "funny" shows you are better than those people who block every single normal different opinion :)

but a different opinion/conversation must be respectful and there are actually many good reasons for blocking people too. I block people who are either very disrespectful or are bothering me for a long time too. some people just ask to get blocked 0_o lol but I agree you also have those kind of people who block different opinions just because they are oversensitive, not so clever, narcissism...whatever...the question is: how much do you care about convincing them and how much do you care about how they feel?

it's not always easy to share a different opinion/trying to convince someone and to listen to the other at the same time.

if you are too much of an emotional person then you will more likely (fake) agree in the end because you didn't really dare to fully share your different opinion at all. (listen too much?)

If you are too much of a judging person, you maybe share your opinion/conclusion too fast and the other will probably feel offended in the end even if you were in fact right. (talk too much?)

I think both personalities can benefit and have their ups and downs :) if no one dares to share their true opinion then nothing will change (and bullies can stay bullies for example) but if you judge everyone you probably won't make any friends at all.

It's good you ask why people chose to attack when you feel attacked and when you feel like someone is annoyed by your opinion, it can be very insightful to ask them why it exactly annoys them too :) I bet you have good intentions

just always listen to the other and be respectful sharing your own opinions I think :) if the other person still feels offended then they probably have emotional/personal problems and you have done nothing wrong

to me there's got to be harassment to the point of needing law enforcement or too much saying of BS directly to me, trying to boss me around, using swear words, making threats etc.

just because someone doesn't line up with u, spams on ur threads or anything like that, i say it's taking it too far to shut them down.

 

look at oljoshie, edgy guy but i can take it, lol....sure he trolls but it's fun to troll, some like doing it more than others, some very extreme but that alone still wudnt make me block them.
