Thanks Mortal Guy. The current max size is 26 X 26. We might increase it in the future. If you check the video we do have a cool concept called strategy depth. You can define strategy depth before a game (1 to 9) This allows each player to make more than one move per turn and it makes for complex strategic combinations.

Chess was a reflection of warefare in the middle ages, knights, castles, kings and queens. Modern warefare however is much more dynamic, we did not want to move away from the principles that made chess great, but we did want to illistrate the dynamic nature of modern warefare.
That is where the difference in the movement of individual pieces came into play. We call it modes. You can switch a units mode, but that takes a turn. You cant switch mode and attack in the same turn. This make the strategy more dynamic and makes for interesting attack and defence oppportunities
