Mmm, finally googled that one. Not sure which one of the possible meanings should I pick. :(
Celebration of womanhood...

Lisa Lane former US ladies champion pulled of an International tournament in Hastings, UK, January 1962,
'I just couldn't concentrate on my game for thinking about him. I am a woman I can't stay away from him any more. . . ',

It seems strange to our modern ears conditioned as we are to a more single minded approach to chess but one cannot help but admire such moving testimony and Lisa should be celebrated for it!

There are floods all over Peru. This lady survived after being caught by the river:
She said that she thought about giving up many times, but kept thinking about her daughters (5 and 10 years old).

I think we should celebrate Nellie Bly (Elizabeth Cochran Seaman), she was an investigative journalist way back when ladies were supposed to only write about gardening and making fairy cakes. She feigned insanity to get into an asylum and report on the sufferings. It was sensational and an investigation was launched which eventually led to better improvements for those suffering mental health issues. Here she is below looking determined and sporting a funky outfit.

Why would anyone celebrate an accident of birth?
Happy birthday, Mike!
Best response EVER!

Thanks for introducing me to this fascinating and adventurous lady. I just ordered her 'Ten Days in a Mad-house' book on Kindle.

Yes there was a huge investigation because all the "experts", concluded that she was 'quite mad'. Awesome lady. Please report back if you enjoyed the book.

This statue is known as "The Fearsome Girl". She is displayed on Wall St starring down the infamous and older bull.

Help ... Quote: It seems I've become 'jaded with my years of experience'. (I'm 25). It's easy to 'lose one's innocence but it's not easy to view the world with innocent eyes once you've lost them'.
... and someone's trying to take my chocolate.
What should I do?
Instead of questioning our presence and pointing out 'differences', notice our achievements, celebrate them, view them and honour them. Women have a remarkable history, we are pioneers, inventors, achievers. We are woman.
The more you experience the life the more you understand how much you didn't know before

Its true. In the UK the four most powerful people are ladies. There is the Queen, obviously she rules and then there is the prime minster Teresa May, she rules and then there is Nicola Sturgeon, she rules Scotland. Then there is Mrs Robbie, she rules.
This of course was predicted by the brilliant scientist Tesla, way back in the 1920's
You can address me informally. ;)
