Global Cooling - The real danger to mankind

Global cooling is the next big thing.

Woah i want the temperature to go up -30 for 4 months is not fun

ExploringWA

Notice how global temperature went flat at the start of the Holocene, unlike all of the previous interglacials that got much warmer than today. Also take note of where our planet is today in the cycle. It’s about to get cold.

Interesting

This winter was exceptionally brutal for 2025 here in NY/New England. Constantly in the 20s and teens, snowing every other week, blustery winds, took until late April for the brutally arctic deep freeze ice age air to warm up. Earth overall is far too cold a planet.

as a texan, i couldn't disagree more with you on thinking this planet is too cold.

Just get a heater or something.

put on a jacket

I honestly prefer being cold than hot. Being hot makes me aggressive and mad at everything while being cold makes me chill
DanishDefence64

"being cold makes me chill" lol

What was the previous and current big thing?

How big are we talking? Or are we just exploring?

Oh wait

Welcome back @exploringwa. I assume you're blocked from the other climate change threads still and the reason you chose to create a another duplicate topic.

I see a red sharpie was added to the graph for effect (I assume by @exploringwa) as this is not in the original WSJ news article or report. Also not in the news article or report are the conclusions you are making.

I'm not a climate scientist, however, EJ Judd (author of the report cited) did not assert the conclusions made by OP. EJ Judd's research did confirm that the Earth's temperature is strongly correlated to the amount of carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere.

I'm unsure of the source for the other report. Nonetheless, misinformation is not a violation of the community policy.

If it ever drops below 50 in the dead of winter, that's still too cold.

The thing is brutal cold is painful and intolerable for more than a couple minutes. You go hang around outside on a 95 degree day for hours, as long as you drink enough water, and don't over-exert yourself, and don't have medical conditions you'll be fine most of the time, people do this in hot days walking all over amusement parks, sometimes you even forget about it. But 15 degree weather and windy has you sprinting to your car or house or whatever. You accidentally lock yourself out of your house without a jacket running to your mailbox in -10 to -20 degree Minnesota, you're screwed. Do that in 95 degree weather you'll be fine waiting even 90 mins for a locksmith.
