They did not make any big screw-ups. You got banned for moping around and saying some messed up things from what I heard. Chess.com will reopen her account, she must have done something incorrectly. Still, they have no reason to listen to you.

Making threads saying you're going to commit sui is against the terms of service, and is a bannable offense. Especially since it a long and detailed thread describing such, I would argue that the ban was possibly deserved. It may have been better to mute you, though. But if you had been muted many times previously, then an autoban could've taken place.
I'm not saying it's ok that Chess.com banned you, but it was against the TOS. They should have shared some helpful links to you and locked the thread, I would say.
