I understand. I use mine for exploring and transport. 30 mile range at 20-28 mph.
Got an e-bike?
I think there great. You can adjust how much it assists you, so you can choose how much you want to exercise. I live somewhere with a lot of hills, so without it, I wouldn't be riding.

Mine was $899. The company doesn't make that specific one anymore, but they have others in the same price range that are pretty much the same thing. It's this company:

I must argue...
Yes I get the workout idea, but my ebike is actually my only form of transportation, so when I bought it I was looking specifically for how I could get the LEAST amount of exercise, but you can actually get as much exercise as want on an ebike - use the pedals to go as far as you feel like and when your thoroughly exhausted just twist the handle and throttle all the way back.
As far as range, I don't think many cyclists can do 30 miles in one shot. Want to double that range? Buy a second battery.

Also, the thing is just unbelievably fun. 😁
I can go blazing around all through town and neighborhoods at 2:00 in the morning (yes I actually do that) and it's so quiet that it never bothers anybody.

Here's a picture of my baby.
I customized it with new wider handlebars, a comfort seat, and then I put marble pattern wallpaper all over it.
Those are 4 inch x 20 inch tires.
I bought one a year and a half ago and it is definitely one of the coolest things ever 😎.
Mine is a Lectric XP. I've put almost 3,000 miles on it.
