Chess.com responded to my message about that meme thread with an explanation about the site being overwhelmed or something becauseof all the new traffic.  It mentioned hiring new staff to deal with it. Maybe that has something to do with Got memes? disappearing.  But there are many other threads with way more posts that are still here.  I'm still wondering if it was deleted deliberately.

Personally, I think it was deliberate as I’m pretty sure all of those “What’s the best opening” or “How do I get better as a beginner” threads are still up. I didn’t get in trouble for anything I posted but then again, it was a very long thread
